Wonderful

The receptionist was lovely and super helpful with all our requests (early check-in, chopsticks, bottle opener, ironing board etc). Rooms were a little dated but large, clean and comfortable.

Bathroom amenities weren't restocked before we arrived.

Great location, location close to many eateries and shopping district. Will definitely come back here!

Water temperature could be slightly u stable location despite water pressure being great. Could be due to the season we came (autumn) where it was cold.

Value for money but in a more adult area.

Room was spacious and well laid out, staff were helpful and friendly. Rooftop was nice. Close to subway station and a few key tourist sites. Very comfortable and well located for price.

Room was clean but there are lots of marks on the walls. Importantly, No one mentioned in other reviews that this hotel backs into a lane with “adult entertainment venues”. There are some explicit pictures so this is not family friendly if you have children and feels a bit weird. Lots of people drinking and smoking in the area around the hotel back entrance. Not everyone will care but we did. The area is close to attractions but is quite dirty in the immediate surrounds. We would have preferred a bit closer to Nampo station which is cleaner and a bit more comfortable. If you want more nightlife, drinking and night markets you might not mind this.

Wonderful

I loved how spacious the room and bathroom were - the toilet even had an electronic bidet (like the ones in Japan)! The bathtub was much bigger than normal, and we loved the design of the room. It was such a nice room for the price point - quiet, spacious, stylish and good value. It was located close to BIFF square as well (5-10 minute walk) and many other popular spots. Would definitely come back here again.

If I had to nitpick, I think it could have been a little cleaner. Some places were a little dusty, but it was mostly the corner of ceilings or hard to reach places. That was the only slightly negative thing I could think of, overall it was a fantastic place to stay.

The location of the hotel is great! If you can, book a room with a balcony that faces the back of the hotel. You will get a great view of the surrounding neighborhood. The beds were comfy, the room was big and the heated floors was a nice bonus. The rooftop of the hotel is also very nice.

Overall, I really liked the hotel. Two minor improvements: Conduct a deeper cleaning (making sure there is no hair or dirt on the floor, no finger prints or spray on the mirrors or doors, etc.) The room was not dirty at all, but the cleaning could be improved. The rooftop bar should be stocked with the all the listed items on the menu. Or allow your guests to buy their drinks and snacks at the convenience store next door and bring it up to enjoy the view.

Good amenities, nice ambiance

It’s close to the city center and we got a room upgrade upon checking in.

There is a hotel with a similar name (The Hound Hotel) which shows up on Naver Maps first. We actually got there first and the receptionist told us that it was the wrong hotel. It took us around 5 mins via taxi to get to the correct one so make sure you’re on the right location when using Naver Maps. It’s not the hotel’s fault though — just a word of caution for other travellers.

Location is very near to Jagalchi station and Biff walking distance to biff square. Good space for 3 pax. Pretty washroom with marble detailing :)

Asked front desk for iron and was told I have to return it quickly as they do not have alot of irons.. I thought I want to take sometime to iron my wrinkled clothes but in the end I had to rush

Really enjoyed this hotel. Our room was very spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was big and well kept and the bathtub was huge! We were really grateful for the central heating that was always on and meant coming back from freezing cold outdoors to a nice warm room. Staff were also very accommodating and friendly. The location of the hotel was also great. Near quite a few touristy areas, bus stop, train stations etc.

Unfortunately, the rooftop bar (part of the reason we booked this hotel) was closed. I feel this type of information should be displayed on the hotel information page so guests are informed beforehand.

Magnificent hotel! Friendliest, most helpful staff! So professional!

What a stunning hotel. Minimalist design, super neat and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was huge and the balcony was phenomenal. The bath tub and heated toilet seat were so welcome in winter!Underfloor heating kept the room warm without drying out the air. Toiletries provided were of excellent quality. I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels that wouldn’t live up to the standards of Nampo Hound Hotel.

My only suggestion is to open a little cafe or restaurant in the hotel. That would make it extra special!

Exceptional

Very good location for foodies (5-10 minutes walk to Jagalchi Market / Biff Square / Food Tents). The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Jagalchi Station (4-5 stops from Busan Station). Next door to the hotel there is a convenience store and a few shops down there is a supermarket. Managed to score a wonderful view of Busan Harbour and Bridge.

No complaints! Everything was great!
